Welcome to the 2nd Grade! I am looking forward in getting to know you and your family, and I am very excited about the opportunity to teach this school year! My teaching philosophy is student-centered and I believe in providing students with many hands on experiences in all subject areas. Such experiences will be informative as well as enjoyable for the students. My goal is to use a variety of teaching strategies that will tend to all learning styles throughout the school year. I hope for this year to be a great learning experience for your child!
I have been working in the district since the 2009-2010 school year. I love being a part of the South Butler community! I received my Bachelor's in Elementary and Special Education from Slippery Rock University. I also received my Master's in Teaching Elementary Math and Science from Slippery Rock University as well! Currently, I'm enrolled at Bloomsburg University to receive a Master's of Science in Instructional Technology.
I will be posting assignments and important announcements on the class story section of class dojo. To check your child's grades, click and log on to the school's Skyward site.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me by calling the school (724) 352-1700 X1204 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Again, welcome to the South Butler Primary School! Let’s work together to make this the best year ever!
