Welcome! I have the pleasure of working with grades K-12 as the district's school psychologist. As a school psychologist, my role varies on any given day. I absolutely love that my job has that kind of flexibility and no two days are the same!! Some of my duties include evaluating students for special education services (including gifted support), providing school based psychological counseling services to students across the district, and working closely with administrators, teachers, and counselors to provide support and recommendations for our students. I am a member of the Student Assistance Program (SAP), School Wide Positive Behavior Support (SWPBS) team, and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) team. My goal is for every student in our district to find academic success and feel socially/emotionally healthy.
I have worked for the district since 2009 and have enjoyed getting to know each and every student I have evaluated, as well as their families. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Clarion University. From there, I attended Indiana University to earn a Master degree in Educational Psychology, as well as an Educational Specialist certification in School Psychology. My most recent endeavor has been to enroll at Slippery Rock to earn a Doctoral degree in Education (specializing in Special Education). I have my course work done and have begun work on my dissertation. The focus of my dissertation is how to properly address inclusion support for students with disabilities within the general education program.
If you have any questions regarding special education programming/support services or school based psychological services, please do not hesitate to contact me. I wish you and your child a wonderful school year!!
